Montblanc, the German luxury watch brand famous for its writing instruments and leather bags, entered the smartwatch market with the Montblanc Summit in 2017. Its latest edition, the Montblanc Summit 2, is positioned as a uber luxe premium edition smartwatch, complete with a calf leather strap, a thick steel or titanium case, a folding clasp and sapphire glass, for those discerning consumers who like to move with the times, and have the means to afford super premium luxury smartwatches. By doing so, Montblanc is upping the ante against the likes of Apple Watch Series 4 models and the smart watches from TAG Huer.
